Licence agreement
This agreement is between you and Digifix (Alex Johnson), Ontario, Canada, the maker of StemShip. By installing or using StemShip you agree to it.
1. Licence
When you buy StemShip, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use it on up to two Macs that you own or control. The free demo is licensed on the same terms, limited to songs up to 30 seconds.
2. Activation
StemShip activates with a licence key and checks in with our server from time to time to confirm the licence is valid. You can move a licence to a new Mac by deactivating it on an old one.
3. What you can't do
- Share, sell, rent or give away your licence key or the app.
- Get around the activation, the licence checks or the demo limit.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble StemShip, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
- Use StemShip to build a competing product.
4. Your audio
StemShip processes your audio on your own Mac. Your music and stems stay yours. We don't upload, collect or claim any rights to them.
5. Ownership
StemShip, including its code, design and name, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws. This agreement doesn't transfer any ownership to you.
6. Updates
Updates for version 1 are free. Future major versions may be sold separately.
7. Ending this agreement
This licence ends automatically if you break this agreement, or if your purchase is refunded or charged back. When it ends you must stop using the full version.
8. No warranty
StemShip is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or suit every session. Always keep your original session files and check deliveries before sending them to clients.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to StemShip is limited to the amount you paid for it. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost work, revenue or opportunities.
10. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Nothing in it limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
